Dual medium teaching

We are a dual medium teaching facility. Each child is educated in the language that he will use in primary school.

Progress Reports

Parents will receive a detailed progress report at the end of each school term.

Will be sent to you at the end of each term. Any problem areas will be addressed immediately during the term.
We encourage parents with any concerns to contact your class teacher at any time – we are here for our children as well as our parents.

Grade R

Our school principal and grade R teacher obtained a 4-year degree in this field and is very well experienced in the CAPS curriculum and the evaluation of grade R children. She has qualifications in remedial teaching for children with serious learning problems.

Included in the curriculum:

  • Coding for beginners
  • Chess for beginners

Our teaching syllabus

Lessons, songs, mathematical enrichment, fantasy play, artwork, paintings, games and physical development activities are based on a weekly theme.

A theme per week is used to build out the child’s experience, knowledge, life skills, and vocabulary about the topic. All poems, songs, art and handwork, educational toys, religious lessons, and physical education are integrated into the theme. We also have an extensive mathematics and literacy program, to get all our pupils 110% ready for Primary School.

Educational visits

It is of great benefit for your child to get first-hand knowledge of a topic. It teaches independence and provides a broader basis for the child to build on once he starts his school career. Visitors such as fire men will be doing demonstrations and will talk about safety, nurses about health and pet groomers will bath a dog here will talk about pet care when they come to visit our children.

Visitors such as the dentist, dog groomer, fire brigade, police and ambulance service regularly give demonstrations and information on these subjects.

Your little one’s happiness
starts here.

Deciding where your child spends the day is a big step for any parent. We invite you to visit Siembamba, see our school and gardens for yourself, and meet the teachers who will greet your child at the gate each morning.

Well qualified trainers and teachers offer the following:
